Grant Frans

Grant is a technician in the Transmission Section. He works on the sophisticated transmission systems of the Test Range which includes multi-channel, microwave, new generation optical transmission and video transmission equipment. Apart from maintaining and repairing equipment to component level, he is also responsible to configure and deploy the systems during test operations and to observe its correct performance.

Grant’s advice on becoming a technician:

Important school subjects: Mathematics and Physical Science.

Qualifications: National Diploma Electrical Engineering
